About maesee

Making AI-mediated distribution more observable

Customers are increasingly using AI to discover, compare, choose and buy.

maesee exists to help businesses understand how they perform in that changing route to market, and what they can do to improve their readiness.

Why we built maesee

For more than 20 years, good digital product development has started with the same principle: understand the problem, understand the user and build an experience that helps them achieve what they need.

That principle has not changed.

What is changing is who, or what, participates in the customer journey.

AI systems can now help customers discover businesses, understand products, compare options, make recommendations and increasingly support the next step.

That means businesses are no longer designing only for people interacting directly with their websites, apps and services. Their products, information and customer journeys increasingly need to be understandable and usable by the AI systems helping those customers choose and act.

maesee grew out of that shift.

It exists to help businesses see how well they are prepared for an AI-assisted world.

The problem we are trying to solve

Businesses can measure what happens across search, advertising, websites and apps.

AI-mediated discovery is much harder to see.

A customer can ask an AI assistant which businesses to consider, how they compare and what to do next without ever entering a journey the business can measure.

That creates a new distribution problem: a business can be missing, misunderstood or passed over without that lost consideration ever appearing in its existing analytics.

maesee makes those interactions more observable, so businesses can understand what is happening, identify the gaps and decide what to improve.

What we believe

AI distribution is broader than visibility

Being mentioned is useful. Being correctly understood, appropriately recommended and able to support the next customer action matters more.

Products increasingly need to work for people and AI

Clear product facts, customer suitability, use cases and action routes help people make decisions. They also give AI systems better information to work with.

Evidence matters more than opinion

maesee is designed around observed AI behaviour and direct business evidence, not asking an AI model to make up a score.

The output should lead to action

The point is not simply to tell a business how it performed. It is to help identify what to improve, what to investigate and what deserves priority.

What maesee is building towards

A clearer view of AI Distribution Readiness.

Today, maesee provides diagnostics that help businesses understand how they appear in AI-mediated discovery, recommendation and customer journeys.

Over time, the ambition is to make this increasingly measurable and repeatable, helping businesses understand whether their products, information and journeys are keeping pace as AI becomes a bigger part of how customers choose and buy.

The technology will change. The product principle does not:

Make the behaviour observable. Use evidence. Understand the gaps. Improve the experience.

How we work

Practical, evidence-led and commercially useful.

maesee combines digital product thinking with structured AI testing and direct business evidence.

That means:

  • plain-English findings
  • clear evidence behind the result
  • practical recommendations
  • stated test conditions and limitations
  • human review where it improves diagnostic quality
  • no claims of universal AI rankings or guaranteed recommendations

maesee is developed and operated by Baselane Limited, drawing on more than 20 years of experience building digital products, customer experiences and new propositions.
